Foggy Morning

This morning the fog covered the lake and finally the sun came out and burned it off, just in time for us to go home. Another cool, rainy weekThe eagles have been around lately. This pair down by the south end resort.
This pair landed by our swimming area and docks.
And I took this one through the window of the Park Model after I woke to the distinctive eagle call.

Lake Happenings

A few happenings at the Lake...I couldn't pass up the sunflowers in bloom on the way to the Lake.
I had always heard that Orioles like grape jelly and I guess it is true. This female sure does.
Brother Norm and sister-in-law Jan, came for a few days. Notice Norm is taking in the view of the lake in prone position in my Cabella's recliner.
We had rainy days but managed to get a picnic in on Leech Lake in Walker.
And here the ladies are taking in the loon action. The loons are in the background.

Critters and Characters

This guy would not be bothered by the Cooper's Hawks. But the hawks finally have left the neighborhood so...many of our favorite little critters are back and hungry.
I think this guy is so cute but Marilyn isn't so sure.
This bird (female Oriole?) sneaks in and grabs a drink from the hummingbird feeder.
This is the first time I have seen a Yellow Warbler at the lake.
This momma and baby grabbed a snack and moved on.
There are lots of these guys and they aren't afraid of anything.
Saturday when we were home we enjoyed a picnic at the Hulst's Farm. These characters kept our knees tapping.
Jacksons were home for a visit from Dallas.
The kids had a great time in the wonderful summer afternoon. Thanks for the hospitality Scott and Kelly!
