I have had the opportunity to spend my birthday week with our Grandson and his family. There have been lots of stories from books about Arthur, cars, and Curious George etc. Mack sits next to his Mom and holds her arm when she reads to him.
We have taken long walks in the Bob and watched the road diggers and cranes down the street. The workers even waved and honked at us with the big digger.
We've had good meals like this home-made pizza which is best if eaten with your fingers as demonstrated below.
And we've spent a lot of time with the train. I mean a lot of time!
We even had breakfast outside one day as it cooled enough when I got here to enjoy being outside. I took credit for that.
We got to see the place where General McArthur was born in Little Rock and visit a museum in his honor.
And of course, we played in the sand and had to get it off little tootsies.
It was a pretty special birthday, I'd say, with a little man who calls me "Papa."
