On the way home we did an overnight in Flagstaff to watch the UND men's BB team get beat by one point. The covered football arena also is where the Lumberjacks play basketball.

Flagstaff had gotten three feet of snow and walking and driving was treacherous. I guess they don't have the equipment to move snow of that amount.

Then off into New Mexica where we had a picnic at a rest stop. Yep, we really did.

This Robin encouraged me to think that Spring really may be not too far away. Many of them seem to hang out in Santa Fe during the cold months.

Blue birds also find the high desert a good place to winter. I wish we could get more of them up north, though I have seen them occasionally at the lake in Minnesota.
Santa Fe is definitely Native American country and has an interesting history.
