| This turtle sort of reminds one of something from Jurassic World. |

| With a face only a mother could love, this dinner plate sized monster went back and forth and up and down our gravel road at the lake |

| Sometimes it looked as if it was in "high" gear hurrying to get across the road. |
 |
| But mostly it was start and stop and turn and stop and turn again. |
 |
| So what was it doing? My conclusion was that its mother had always said to look both ways before crossing the street, and for a turtle to do that, it takes some time. So maybe it was practicing looking both ways before crossing the road. Probably my wife's thought was better; and I quote: "He probably can't decide where he wants to lay his eggs." (Did I mention it has been awhile since she took biology?) |
