Another Day in Arkansas

When I wake up and look outside, I usually see this guy hunting for his breakfast. The fall colors make early morning a great time for picture taking.I happened to snap a picture of him splashing his head under water (see splash) and also got one right after before he swallowed this fish in his beak. I wished I had gotten one more shot of the fish going down that long neck.
Also this beautiful Bluebird is a regular in the back yard searching for insects on the lawn.
Carrie suggested we take in some local culture, so we did and it was good... french fries, hush puppies, and catfish. Real southern livin'.
We stopped at a place called The Old Mill for some snapshots before supper.
Built in the early thirties it is a replica of a working mill of days gone by.
Hard to know which shot to take as it was really a beautiful place for picture taking.
Some locals always have to get in the picture.
This is my favorite.

Mack seems to have enjoyed it too.
Carrie discovered that by turning over one of her side tables Mack could enjoy pushing it around the furniture. He seems to be developing balance and loves pushing this thing through the house.
Mack in the morning....
Mack and Daddy share a laugh.
Mack in his PJ's is waving goodbye... time to go.
