KoKo Head

Saturday was busy in Hawaii, but after fighting traffic we got to a quiet spot... Koko Head Crater Botanical Garden.
The Plumeria were still in bloom though not as much as I had hoped.
What was in bloom were the Bougainvillea.  You can see some purple ones here.
The whole hillside had different ones in bloom.
This is my favorite picture of the day... what color!
This gives you an idea of the size of the bushes.  My 6'4" Grandson is standing near a beautiful red one.
Just a few moments to cool off in the shade before finishing the loop on the trail and heading home.
